Deepika Padukone is a Bollywood Indian actress who mainly appears in Hindi films.

Bhairavi was born in southern part of India, her father being a part Bengali and south Indian culture and her mother being a part Creole. Bhairavi is said to spent more time in united kingdom as she left India when she was of 6 years old for pursuing her dream career in acting and modeling. The career of bhairavi began when she participated in the ‘Gladrags Mega Model’ contest. 

She was also the winner of Pantaloons model Quest and was followed by runners up trophy in the AXN Hot and Wild. She has also found to be in different magazines troughout the country as well as worldwide such as, Cosmopolitan, Elan, Femina, and 4D woman.According to a quotation by Times of India she is also referred as Paris Hilton of India. Besides all this she is the one and only model from India to have featured in TIME, and Courier International. She has also walked on ramp for a numerous time for some renowned fashion designers like Sabhyasachi Mukherjee, satya paul and Ritu Kumar.

She was introduced to the bollywood industry by director Anurag Kashyap. For her work in Dev D she was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2010. In the year 2011 first she was seen in the movie ‘Shaitan’. In this movie for a particular scene she did a lip lock with a new comer Kirti Kulhari.

Her role in ‘Shaitan’ as well as in ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ was critically acclaimed. ZNMD was another release of Kalki in the year 2011. She was paired opposite Abhay Deol. This year she was nominated for the Filmfare Best Supporting Actress in ZNMD.

She has been dating filmmaker Anurag Kashyap since 2009 and they got married on 30th April 2011. She has helped her spouse in the movie ‘That Girl In Yellow Boots’, as she was the co writer of the movie.

She is well known for her role in her first big hit movie Dev D as ‘Paro’. Dev D was a modern take on Sarat Chandra Chattopadyay’s famous Bengali novel ‘Devdas’. For this role she got the Filmfare critics awards for Best Actress in 2010. In the year 2010 she was casted in a small role in the Salman Khan Starrer movie ‘Dabangg’ as ‘Nirmala’. ‘Not a love story’ and ‘Saheb Biwi aur Gangster’ are the two movies which released in the year 2011. Not a Love Story is a crime thriller film based on the gruesome murder of Neeraj Grover in 2008. Mahi gill was in the lead as Anusha Chawla. ‘Saheb Biwi and Gangster’ was released on 30th September 2011. She was casted opposite Jimmy Shergill and Randeep Hooda. This character earned her a nomination at the Filmfare awards for best actress. She was also seen in Khoya Khoya Chand where she became the starlet at Prem Kumar’s house.
